Website 100 BLACK MEN OF SAN ANTONIO With a mission to improve the quality of life and enhance educational opportunities for African-Americans, members of the 100 serve as a strong force for overcoming the cultural and financial obstacles that have limited the achievements of African-American youth, particularly young African-American males. The organization has made outstanding progress, proving that Blacks can, and do, excel in corporate and community leadership. Website NATIONAL COUNCIL OF NEGRO WOMEN SA CHAPTER The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. was founded by Mary McLeod Bethune in 1935. It is designed to be the "organization of organizations" and function as a women's clearing house while bringing like- minded organizations together to advocate for the advancement of African-American women and their families to ensure equality and equity for all. Website LIGHTHOUSE LUNCHEON GROUP The spirit of the LightHouse Luncheon is to disseminate information to the community to inspire community and personal action of attendees. The LightHouse Luncheon Group is not an action group, nor is it meant to serve profiteering, nor to promote selfish gain. It is meant to share information that builds our treasured community and our wonderful citizens. The luncheon is every first Monday at noon at the the Plaza Club in the City Tower Building. The luncheon is not held in January or December. Months where the first Monday is a holiday, the luncheon is held the following Monday. Website |
